However, the Poco F6 series was launched just three months ago in May, so there was little hope for an imminent launch. So the upgraded Poco F7 series is expected to launch in the second quarter around this time next year. But now it looks like Poco is accelerating its F-series release cycle this year. Following the IMEI listing, the alleged Poco F7 has now received EEC certification with the same model number.
Although the design or features of the smartphone have not been revealed on the certification, this increases the possibility that Poco F7 may launch earlier than expected. Looking at past patterns, Poco F6 received EEC certification in January this year and was officially launched in May. If Poco adopts a similar strategy for Poco F7, then the new series may arrive in December.
The smartphone’s model number “2412” already suggests this schedule, with “24” for the year and “12” for the month. However, it is worth noting that this is still a possibility and Poco has not confirmed it. Poco F7 is expected to be a rebranded Redmi Turbo 4 for the global market. The F7 Pro, on the other hand, could be a rebranded version of the Redmi K80.
The Redmi K80 series is rumored to launch in China in November this year, so it’s very possible for the Poco F7 series to release in December. It’s just that Xiaomi usually takes some time to launch its China-specific phones globally. Hopefully this pattern will continue, there seems to be a change in strategy this year.
